Landscape+Urbanism is a broadly-focused site, exploring landscape architecture and ecological urbanism, and much in-between. Started in 2007, this new incarnation builds on the legacy of the that was my labor of love, and surprisingly well followed through its 5+ years, until it was put on hold in mid 2012. Things end, shift, and change – much like landscapes and cities, and it was again time continue the explorations.
The range of topics for this new version of the blog is constantly in flux, but draws on the conversations happening at the time, with diversions into my interests and obsessions. I’ve never actually tried to write to an audience (with the exception of my own self-interest) but it is likely to overlap with many in the professions of urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, and related disciplines.
Topics will include the latest thinking on visualization and representation, ecological urbanism, landscape architecture, sustainable sites, vegitecture, stormwater, theory, history, mapping, and much more under the large catchement of landscape and urbanism as topics worthy of discussion.
